How to use GiftSpatch
in your business

Seven plays that turn a finished job into the next one. Each one is a trigger or a send you set up once.

1

Repeat business

Most clients forget who did the work within a year. A gift that lands a few days after they pay keeps your name in the house, so the next job goes to you.

  • When: the invoice is paid.
  • Send: something they keep on the counter: a mug, a tumbler, a cutting board with your logo.
  • Set it up: Campaigns → New automation → An invoice is paid. Optionally only above an amount, so small jobs skip it.

Set a minimum invoice amount so the gift goes out on the jobs that earned it.

2

Referrals

A gift is a story people tell. When the neighbor asks who did the driveway, the mug on the counter answers.

  • When: a bigger job closes, or a client has used you twice.
  • Send: a gift with a note that asks plainly: “Know someone who needs this done? Send them our way.”
  • Set it up: Campaigns → Invoice paid with a minimum amount, and put the ask in the gift note. Merge tags fill in their name.

Say who you want. “Neighbors on your street” gets more referrals than “anyone”.

Reviews

People leave reviews when they feel appreciated and it is easy. A gift makes the first half true; the note makes the second.

  • When: a job is completed and the crew has left.
  • Send: a small, useful item plus a note with your review link, sent the same week while the work is fresh.
  • Set it up: Campaigns → Job completed (or Invoice paid). Paste your Google review link into the note.

Keep the note to two lines: thanks, then the link. A paragraph gets skipped.

Win-back

Clients rarely leave angry. They drift, and call whoever stayed visible. A gift after months of silence puts you back in front.

  • When: a client has not had an invoice in six months or more.
  • Send: something seasonal or practical, with a “we are still here” note and your phone number.
  • Set it up: Campaigns → No invoice in X months. Pick the gap that fits your trade: 6 months for lawn care, 12 for roofing.

Seasonal and milestone sends

The holidays, a milestone, a year-end thank-you. One list, one order, and everyone on it gets the same gift with your logo.

  • When: whenever you decide. Nothing fires on its own.
  • Send: the same gift to a whole list at once.
  • Set it up: Bulk Send Gifts → filter your clients (by spend, town, tag, last job) → pick the gift → send. Or upload a spreadsheet with Upload & Send.

Filter by lifetime spend to put the nicer gift in front of the clients who earned it.

Your own crew

The same catalog works for the people who do the work. Birthdays, hire dates, a good month.

  • When: a birthday, a hire anniversary, or a job well done.
  • Send: anything from the catalog, with your logo or their name on it.
  • Set it up: Contacts → Employees keeps names, addresses and dates; send from there like any other gift.

Employee dates are saved once. The reminder is the send itself.

Neighborly proof Coming soon

The best lead you will ever get is the house next door to a job you just finished. They saw the truck. Give them a reason to call.

  • When: the week a job on their street wraps up.
  • Send: a promo item to every neighbor in a radius — a bag of branded coffee first, a branded coffee cup a few weeks later.
  • Set it up: pick the radius around a finished job and the promo item; GiftSpatch finds the addresses and sends. In the works now.

The second item is the one that sticks: the coffee gets used up, the cup stays on the counter.
